This was created for the New York AIDS WALK 2014.
The Characters were all specifically chosen:
Daredevil aka Matt Murdock. His lost his long-time love interest, Karen Page, who had revealed to him that she had contracted AIDS before being assassinated.
Northstar aka Jean-Paul Beaubier; adopted an abandoned infant girl, born with AIDS before she passed. Joanne Beaubier had a very brief life, but she died in the arms of a loving father.
Speedy aka Mia Dearden. First HIV+ hero.
Though not intimately affected; Mother and Son; Scarlet Witch and Wiccan were added to the roster as representatives of family: Support and unconditional love.
