Asked that I take Alpha flight's and now The X-Men's Northstar back to in time, before the heroics. Back to when he was skiing for his p.o.b. : Quebec.
I did my best to honor John Byrne's interpretation of Jean-Paul;
The rounded face, dramatic eye bows, small almond eyes, prominent cheek bones and hair style. To take all those features and make them look like a teenager was a fun challenge.
Thank you Suz!!

Yes! Another great one of JP! There just simply isn't enough art out there of Northstar so it's good to be able to browse through your gallery and see quite a few with him. He's such an interesting character. I really like the concept of this piece but ultimately it was you who executed it. The skis look great and I love the little engraving on the handles. Heh. They certainly look quite shiny! I love it! JP himself looks great. I love the little smirk on his face and the way his breath is coming out, dissipating into the cool air. It's easy to tell this is a younger JP and it's quite cool to see. You are a master at drawing the male form and I can't help but be drawn to him. I love the pose and the slight curve to it. It's very sexy. Of course, I just have to give you props for making his ski outfit so tight. I love the way it wrinkles on his body. It's another instance where the details you put into your drawing helps to add depth. Also... is it bad that my eye keeps going to the bulge? I really want to unwrap him. Anyway, this is another job well done... commenting on old pieces FTW!
